Leveraging health-related linked data to enhance data analytics: Informing community insights.
Abstract
In today’s data-driven world, integrated health-related data assets present a promising avenue for generating insights that can positively impact community well-being. This presentation explores the symbiotic relationship between health-related data assets and data analytics, showcasing how the insights generated can yield significant benefits for both data professionals and the wider community. By harnessing information from diverse integrated health data sources, such as the National Health Data Hub (NHDH), data analytics jobs can uncover rich insights into various aspects of community health and well-being. Through case-studies and examples, this presentation highlights how the utilisation of these data assets enables analysts to identify trends, predict health outcomes, and optimise resource allocations for healthcare delivery. Furthermore, it examines the ethical, legal, privacy and data security related considerations and challenges associated with use of person-level data in research and analysis. Ultimately, the presentation aims to demonstrate the transformative potential of integrated health-related data assets, fostering improved decision-making and positive outcomes for community health and well-being.
