As part of the Australian Public Health Conference 2026, the PHAA Victoria Branch and the Students and Young Professionals in Public Health group are joining forces to host Beyond the Degree: From the Classroom to Experience, a breakfast panel event for public health students and emerging professionals. The event will bring together experienced public health professionals for an informal panel conversation exploring career journeys, transitions from study into practice, different pathways across the public health sector, and lessons learned along the way. Attendees will have the opportunity to hear diverse perspectives, ask questions, and continue the conversation over breakfast in a relaxed and welcoming setting. The event aims to support meaningful connections between students, emerging professionals, and experienced practitioners while creating space for honest and practical discussion about careers beyond the classroom.
