Target Audience: Public health professionals aiming to publish in peer-reviewed scientific journals and strengthen the reach and impact of their research through effective communication and dissemination.

• Apply practical strategies to improve manuscript quality and publication success.
• Identify common reasons manuscripts are rejected.
• Understand the peer-review, publication, and post-publication processes.
• Recognise ethical requirements and appropriate uses of AI in scholarly publishing.

Workshop Summary:
An interactive workshop designed to guide attendees through the journey of turning research into real-world impact. Bringing together editors, publishers, and communication specialists, the session offers practical insights into writing high-quality manuscripts, navigating the publication process, and effectively promoting research to optimise potential impact.

Attendees will actively engage in hands-on activities, including critiquing examples of abstracts/articles, working through real-world scenarios on ethical AI use in manuscript writing and designing promotional pieces of academic papers. The workshop covers common reasons manuscripts are rejected, strategies to improve publication success, and key publication ethics considerations. It also highlights how to maximise research visibility through communication and dissemination strategies. With opportunities for discussion, collaboration, and Q&A with editors, publishers and communication specialists, this session equips attendees with practical skills and tools to enhance both publication success and research impact.
