Closing Plenary - 'Moving forward in research and action'
Tuesday, November 19, 2024 |
3:30 PM - 5:00 PM |
Clarendon Auditorium |
Overview
Our closing plenary brings together four eminent panelists who have been actively involved at the interface between economics and health to debate an agenda for research and action on commerce, economy, trade and public health. Reflecting on the conference presentations and discussions, our panelists will consider questions such as: What are the most vital research questions, what types of research are needed, and which approaches hold the most promise to better marry health and economic objectives? Which actions are most urgently needed to address commercial, political and economic determinants, and what inspiration can we draw from real-life examples? What works in achieving economic participation and equity for those who have been disenfranchised, including First Nations Peoples?
