This session will explore how Indigenous health is inherently political, drawing on the experiences and leadership of Fiona Cornforth, Renee Williams and Tom Calma. Through their insights, we will examine how structural inequities in health persist and why addressing them requires political will, systemic reform, and Indigenous-led solutions. Speakers will share draw on their experiences in challenging health frameworks and building solutions that create lasting, community-driven change in preventive health to improve Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and wellbeing.
