SA State Population Health Conference 2021

As we continue into 2021, Public Health continues to be in the spotlight on both a global and local level. The Coronavirus pandemic and introduction of vaccines have highlighted the importance and an improved understanding of public health within communities, the state and on national and international levels.

By focusing on developing links between research, advocacy, practice and policy, we aim to learn from others in our field and support the work we all do to contribute to improved public health in South Australia.

Building on the success of the 2020 virtual conference, we are aiming to hold our conference in two parts, an online session with a keynote speaker and concurrent sessions on Wednesday 20 October, and an in-person (COVID-permitting) session for a keynote and panel session.

The conference theme is Using evidence and building awareness to influence public health responses and we have received some great abstracts to add to our program. Our Scientific Committee is reviewing the abstracts, and will contact successful authors by October 7 2021.
